Augmented Reality in design and implementation of interactive recycling game

Abstract

Under the advancement of technology, Augmented Reality (AR) has changed our life style, as well as the teaching environment, which has evolved from traditional verbal lectures to distant and e-learning. Many textbook publishers have introduced a series of e-learning materials, thus achieving ubiquitous learning. In addition, a number of researches on game-based teaching have suggested that such teaching approach can enhance learning motive and concentration. Thus, this study utilized AR and characteristics of game-based teaching to design and develop an interactive recycling game, which demonstrates the importance of individual environmental behaviors on environmental protection.
