Abstract

Reaction of the highly functionalized copper reagents RCu(CN)ZnI with the title compounds occurs predominantly at less hindered termini, generating functionalized side chains at C5 of (η⁴-penta-1,3-diene) and (η⁴-clohexa-1,3-diene)tricarbonyliron(0) complexes.
