Abstract

A novel adaptive motion vector quantization algorithm is presented in this letter. The algorithm effectively updates the set of motion vectors using gold-washing technique for block-matching according to the features of input imago sequences. Simulation results show that the algorithm has both robust performance and low computational complexity for video coding.
