Abstract

As institutions providing information services and knowledge transfer, public libraries contribute significantly to achieving SDGs. This study examined the outcomes of SDG-related library services and activities through a survey of 704 Taiwanese public library users conducted between May and September 2023. The survey assessed users’ SDG awareness, participation in library SDG services and activities, and perceived outcomes. Key recommendations include the following: (1) Libraries should explicitly link activities to specific SDG targets and organize SDG-themed events to increase user awareness; (2) Libraries should enhance promotion of economic growth-related services and activities to increase user awareness and participation in these offerings.
