Abstract

A 7-inch VGA transmissive-type active matrix TFT-LCD display with a-Si TFTfabricated on colorless polyimide (PI) substrate is demonstrated. The proposed colorless PI substrate has the features of high Tg (∼350°C) and high light transmittance (∼90%). The electrical and mechanical reliability for a-Si TFT fabricated at 200∼C have also been studied.
