Abstract

This study was designed to investigate the influence of the hairstyle of female front-desk employees, and employee professionalism on hotel image. Experimental Method was used in this study with 480 copies questionnaires sent out, and 439 valid questionnaires were collected; the effective rate is 91.5%. The objects of this study were people who had visited five-stars hotels within a year. The results indicated that, first, when the female employee wore a bun hairstyle, she received better perception of her professionalism than that when she wore natural hairstyle. Second, when the female employee wore a bun hairstyle, customers had better impression of the hotel image than that when she wore natural hairstyle. Therefore, this research suggest that female employees should wear bun hairstyle to raise her professionalism and improve the hotel image of the hotel that she worked in.
