The purpose of this research aimed to study visitors' environmental perception including utilization situation, opinions, and satisfaction toward four forested trails in I-Lan County. The main motivations for respondents to visit forested trails included nature sightseeing, relaxation, and exercise and hiking. Through the factor analysis, respondents' opinions toward forested trails could be summarized into three factors that included trail function, public participation, and management. Based on the result of analytic hierarchy process, the natural and cultural resources had the highest weighted value (0.603) for the environmental attributes of forested trails, and the following were trail characteristics (0.218) and trail facilities (0.179). The respondents most satisfied with natural resources in these forested trails.
