Abstract
Library automation has been a popular trend in Taiwan, and it will keep going on. After so many years, it brings various levels of effects to libraries in Taiwan and it becomes a myth to the librarians in Taiwan too. Through literature survey, this article intends to trace the brief history, current status of library automation in Taiwan. Finally, the author presents a critical review of library automation in various aspects.
