This project aims to set up a project planning office to assist the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) in planning, implementation and evaluation of the "Taiwan Angstrom Semiconductor Initiative: Special call for advanced semiconductor technology research project ". NSTC announced that the mission of Taiwan Angstrom Semiconductor Initiative is to promote the exploratory research on the advanced semiconductor devices, materials, and process monitoring techniques, aiming for innovative “out-of-box” solutions that could maintain the leading position of Taiwan in the semiconductor industry for the next decade. The work of the project office is to plan strategy implementation and review mechanism, form an expert advisory committee, technical exchange activities between domestic and foreign industry, academia and research circles, develop innovative semiconductor components, and improve inspection technology to ensure that Taiwan’s semiconductor industry continues to lead the world. We expected to challenge new functional e low-dimensional materials, which open up new opportunities for the next generation of advanced semiconductor technology.
