Project Details
Description
This study, commissioned by the National Science and Technology Council, aims to investigate hot and prospective academic research topics in the field of physical education and sports. By employing bibliometric analysis and expert review, the study evaluates the developmental trajectories of Taiwanese and international sports and exercise sciences while identifying future research trends. Utilizing bibliometric methods and expert consensus approaches, the research covers six major subfields: sports biomechanics, sports psychology, exercise physiology, physical education curriculum and instruction, sports administration and management, and the socio-historical and philosophical aspects of sports. The analysis encompasses 77,539 academic articles from Taiwanese and international journals to delineate both hot and prospective research topics. In addition to identifying academic trends in Taiwan and globally, the study facilitates scholarly exchange through academic forums and special journal issues. The findings provide a valuable reference for future academic development and policy planning, fostering the alignment of Taiwan's sports science research with international standards.
