Description
This paper aims to use the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) or experiential learning theory to examine the impact of different pedagogies on learning effects and employability in hospitality financial related courses among four teaching methods (lectures, simulation, board game and case study). There is a paucity of research to investigate the impact of diversified teaching methods on the learning effects and employability for the hospitality financial management. This study used purposive sampling distributed 266 questionnaires to graduate students in Taiwan who had studied hospitality financial courses in the four types of teaching method. The path analysis from the Smart PLS report has proposed that the situational interest and course satisfaction of four different teaching methods have significant impacts on learning effects and employability. The course satisfaction is a fully mediator between the situational interest and learning effect and employability.
