Group theorists have recently been interested in a pro-$p$ group known as the Nottingham group. It draws number theorists' attention because the field of norm functor relates it with the Galois groups of local field extensions. The heights of elements of the Nottingham group help us understand the ramification groups of such extensions. In this project, we will focus on the recent developments concerning the height and give further investigation.
