Description
This research is divided into three years. In the first year, the research team used the "New Environmental Paradigm" and "New Ecological Paradigm" scales to explore the environmental values, environmental attitudes, environmental behavior intentions, environmental worldviews, etc. of the research objects, and re-compiled nearly 40 years in Taiwan and abroad questionnaires related to the environmental paradigm. The research focuses on clarifying and exploring the common connotative factor structure, sorting out the characteristics and trends of Taiwan's environmental paradigm, as the basis for the implementation of the second year of the plan. The focus of the second year's implementation is to conduct applied research from the first year's literature base. Our research team conducted quasi-experimental studies on two general education courses of different types of universities, and conducted pre- and post-tests on two general education students at a national university in Taipei, Taiwan. This research intends to explore the impact of sustainable development education on university students’ paradigm view of the environment. At the same time, it also wants to understand university students’ views on resource utilization (economy), environmental protection (environment) and social growth (society). At the same time, in the second year, a qualitative analysis and research will be conducted through the participation of six analysts from senior Chinese language teachers and environmental educators through the selection of Classical Chinese articles by the Ministry of Education. The third year is to conduct a quantitative and qualitative cross-country comparison between Myanmar and Taiwan to understand environmentals attitudes of students educated in Myanmar and Myanmar students to Taiwan to the environment. The qualitative research results show that Myanmar students who go to Taiwan to study have a strong environmental awareness. The four interviewees all showed in the qualitative interviews that they reflect on their hometown waste of resources, changes in environmental behavior, and natural resources. Moreover, Myanmar students who go to Taiwan to study have the life experience of leaving their hometowns, the Myanmar overseas students going to Taiwan are better able to look at the environment with more diverse experiences and perspectives. They will compare the differences and differences between the two countries, have more ideas and thoughts about the environmental pollution caused by humans, and even use Taiwan’s experience to expect the Myanmar government to do something.
