Description
Social enterprises are in response to the reform of the welfare state crisis and financial pressure. Governments of various countries hope to support the development of social enterprises through policy incentives to solve structural or emerging social problems. Although policy resources have promoted the germination of social enterprises in various countries, they still inevitably raise questions about excessive dependence. Therefore, replacing subsidies with investment has gradually become the consensus of various countries in the development of social enterprises, and has promoted the introduction of the concept of social investment into social enterprises. As far as social enterprise research is concerned, historical institutionalism attaches great importance to transnational research, and uses it to construct the conceptual framework of social enterprises, and uses institutional analysis to explain how policies establish a supportive environment for the development of social enterprises.
