Description

Recently, the study of hyperthermia in cancer treatment is attached importance gradually. The method is to inject the magnetic nanoparticle into tumor tissue, heat magnetic nanoparticles by applying an ac magnetic field and kill or damage the tumor tissue. Although the potential of hyperthermia is great, there are several key techniques should be developed. One of the most important techniques is how to detect the temperature of magnetic nanoparticles fast, noninvasively and exactly. We would like to develop a clinical thermometer which can measure the body temperature in vitro. The relation of the ac magnetic susceptibility with temperature to establish the method of temperature detection by measuring the ac magnetic susceptibility of magnetic nanopartilces. Furthermore, we would like to study the relations of heating effect and heating Mechanism with different concentrations of magnetic nanoparticles, the strength and the frequency of external ac magnetic field. In this study, it has been demonstrated that the logistic behavior is originated from the growth of particle sizes due to the molecule-particle association. The analytic relationship between the growth of particle sizes and the reduction in ac magnetic susceptibility is developed.
