Grammar teaching and pdagogical grammar have been a highly discussed issue. Therefore, the importance of course designs and activities in grammar teaching are apparent. For one, the researches on the sequencing of Chinese grammar teaching are important yet unfound. For another, although pedagogical grammar and theoretical grammar are closely associated, they are inherently different. Past studies have distinguished the differences between the two (e.g., Shi, 1986;Odlin, 1994;Deng, 2009;Nasaji and Fotos, 2011). For this reason, the corpus-based study comprehensively incorporates CSL teaching and learning into a digital application system, the Platform of Chinese Grammar. This system would provide teachers with teaching assisted resources and learners with individualized learning, accommodating all the aspects of both teaching and learning. Above all, the present project looks forward to achieving adaptive and elaborative Chinese pedagogical grammar teaching and CSL writing instruction with theoretical and empirical perspectives. In addition, in recent years the progress on digital technology and computing has raised the needs of technology-assisted learning, increasing the researches on corpus-based grammar teaching and technology-applied CSL learning. Therefore, the present project, based on“digital Chinese grammar bank”, proposes the“the Platform of Chinese Grammar”. The system develops various Chinese grammar teaching and learning assistant functions for teachers and students separately. It can also be connected with other CSL teaching and learning platforms to be incorporated into CSL classroom teaching, such as Chinese sentence teaching and Chinese writing instruction in this project. The theoretical-based and empirical-based Chinese grammar digital system incorporates both teaching and learning side in the design, development and application. In teaching side, the Chinese grammar bank provides a referential evidence for Chinese grammar teaching order. In learning side, the most frequently used Chinese grammar provides learning sequence/order. Moreover, for learning material developers, the recommended ordering for teaching and ranking of error usages can help to edit CSL teaching materials. Eventually, the present project will implement the Platform of Chinese Grammar in real classrooms. Through the teaching experiments, the present project would evaluate the scientificity and practicality of the applying the system on Chinese writing instructions. The project focused on adding more functions for teachers on the Platform of Chinese Grammar, such as “my favorite grammar. Also, the basic functions for learners included a general overview of Chinese grammar bank and grammar searching has been completed. Learners can learn grammar easily on the platform. Furthermore, we designed “grammar clouds” on the platform homepage to enhance students' motivation. In addition, through the opportunities of international conferences, domestic and foreign expert exchanges and workshops, we collected the opinions of experts, scholars and Chinese teachers and adjusted the data and platform based on actual suggestions to make the platform more professional and friendly. In the future, various teaching tools will be added to the platform, such as the grammar practice questions. In order to provide Chinese teacher and learners a reliable and convenient tool, the teaching experiments will also be executed at next step to verify the effects of platform using on learning and teaching.
