Project Details

Description

This year, the Alliance has primarily met its key performance indicators (KPIs) in revenue, promotional activities, and technical services. Sixty-four promotional events were held, including eight government-sponsored events, 36 corporate promotions, and 20 campus activities. In the first half of the year, we continued to co-host the 2023-2024 SmartReading Science Literacy Competition, which has expanded internationally. Initially a local initiative, the competition has grown to encompass participants from various regions. By May 2024, the fifth edition of the competition had concluded successfully, and the total number of participants had surpassed 15,000. For participants learning Chinese as a second language, we introduced the SmartReading-Mandarin platform, developed by our team, for the first time. This competition attracted participants from 14 countries: Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Canada, the Philippines, Indonesia, Guatemala, India, Spain, the United States, Germany, Australia, and Italy. Extensive media coverage has significantly increased the Alliance's visibility. Furthermore, offering short-term trials of our exclusive technology has garnered interest from potential school and business partners. The Alliance continues to strengthen its partnerships with educational organizations in Tainan, New Taipei, Chiayi, and Kinmen while establishing new collaborations with the Taipei City and Taoyuan City Education Bureaus. We remain committed to providing personalized services to our members, ensuring that the unique needs of each are addressed. Industry partnerships are divided into publishing and education technology sectors. In publishing, we promote CRIE's text difficulty grading service to raise public awareness of graded reading. Once a sufficient number of cooperating publishers is achieved, we plan to introduce recommendation services, generating stable operational revenue. Collaboration in education technology will bring new-generation platforms, innovative user experiences, and broader user bases from various fields. In schools, we are enhancing student and teacher engagement with the system while continuously refining the flexibility of features. For individual users, we aim to expand the age range and extend services to parents, thereby increasing potential consumption. This year, we have intensified our marketing efforts for several online systems, including "HanZiChi," "HanCiHui," "HanZiWan," "SmartReading-M," and "SmartReading-English." Furthermore, we are planning the vertical and horizontal integration of the global Chinese language industry, from upstream to downstream, for comprehensive system deployment. The Alliance's revenue from technology licensing and industry-academic services has significantly exceeded initial targets, positioning us to achieve the goal of sustainable, independent operations soon.
