Project Details
Description
This study explored the impact of cluster location, knowledge flows, knowledge networks and social networks on innovation capacity in biotech industry clusters. This is an empirical study of biotechnology industries in the United States, China and Taiwan. This study explores biotechnology clusters in the United States, China and Taiwan from the perspectives of regional innovation system and innovation theory, knowledge-based theory and social network theory. In this study, we explored the biotech industry clusters and the regional innovation systems in the United States, China, and Taiwan. We explore the effects of the flow of knowledge, the knowledge networks, the social networks on the innovation capability of the biotechnology industry cluster. And we analyze the innovation capability of each country in biotechnology industry clusters with patent data. With the comparison of geographical location and innovation by patent citation, this study explores the technological path of the industry. This study contributes significantly to the academic and practical contributions for the impacts of knowledge flow, knowledge networks, social networks and geographical location on innovation capacity of biomedical clusters.
