Project Details
Description
In this sub project, our objective, using cloud networks, is to develop a battery monitor mechanism for mobile robots to achieve autonomous navigation and disaster prevention in an industrial plant. For mobile robots, effectively monitoring battery states is the key point of successfully performing tasks. Moreover, it can also enhance energy efficiency. Therefore, based on the cloud networks, the battery monitor mechanism developed by this sub project includes state-of-charge estimation, move distance prediction, and best energy-saving path planning. In this year, this sub project has completed to design a state-of-charge fuzzy-neural network to estimate the battery states of mobile robots and send them to the cloud networks. Moreover, some two-wheeled vehicle experiments have been performed to verify applicability and effectiveness of the proposed method.
