Description
Based on the key competences in the 12-year Basic Education Curriculum Guideline, this 3-year study aims at developing an integrated, issue-centered teaching pattern of online argumentation. After three-round of data-collection and platform-trialing, the result indicates that issue-centered teaching pattern is feasible. Regarding the use of platform Knowledge Forum is more suitable for online argumentation activities than other online platforms. Moreover, a set of new teaching strategies is developed based on task-oriented and task verification. The result shows that this teaching strategy is contribute to enhance undergraduates to establish their personal learning scaffold and reduce their learning anxiety. However, the relevance between online argumentation activities and media literacy is not significant according to the results of the questionnaire. The research team will continue to execute a new round of practical research to explore the relationship between media literacy and online argumentation activities.
