The purpose of this project is to set a platform for high scope projects to effectively share their experiences on innovative curriculum development, assessment design, curriculum evaluation and outreach. Through a series professional development workshops, this project supported teachers to develop, implement and promote interdisciplinary, technology-infused curricula. To establish the platform, we held a serious of workshops for elevating teachers’ expertise during the three years: 1. Passing down and sharing the experiences on developing emerging technology curriculum: We organized several workshops focusing on instructional design, where the participating teachers shared their experiences on curriculum design, discussed difficulties they encountered and exchanged designing ideas, teaching strategies and solutions to the problems. 2. Boosting assessment and curriculum evaluation abilities: We held several Assessment and Curriculum Outreach Workshops in the north, middle and south parts of Taiwan. During each workshop, we invited outstanding high-scope teams to share their experiences on curriculum implementation, assessment design, curriculum evaluation and curriculum outreach. 3. Infusing emerging technology in curriculum design: We organized instructional design workshops that introduced emerging technology such as Arduino and 3D-printing, and how to use the technology in science teaching and learning. In these workshops, participants were first given opportunities to practice on Arduino programming or to visit maker spaces. Then, invited teachers shared their experiences about how they designed related curriculum and how they taught in classrooms with the innovative curricula. 4. The 12-year Curriculum Guidelines list student’s expected learning performances in terms of various inquiry abilities at different year levels. We integrated relevant information and re-organized them in a way that can connect and support learning between junior and senior secondary levels.
