奈米碳管鋸齒邊界態之性質分析

Following what we have proposed, we have investigated the edge state DOS (density of state) we obtained previously via the iteration method in the tight binding model, for various CNT's (carbon nano-tubes) that display a zigzag cut. As an expanded quasi-one-dimensional system, the cut CNT's should be interpreted in the similar spirit as how one treats the semi-infinite dimerized polyene chain problem, where the edge state can be understood as a topological issue. Using the known bulk states, we have taken the allowed linear combinations that fit the boundary conditions, and studied the contribution of bulk states via the integration method.
