In recent years, universities have been influenced by marketed competition, globalization, and the trend of fewer children. In the current competitive context, universities face an increasingly complex organizational environment, and this requires universities to develop their strategic alliance. Universities can become stronger through cooperation among schools indeed. Forming strategic alliances is a current global trend. They can enhance the forces of two or more schools so that they can meet their strategic goals. Strategy alliance plays important roles in the knowledge society, but there are few related studies in university areas now. This study aims to strategic alliance operation and effectiveness of universities. Based on the promotion of this research project, academic results of journal papers and books are produced. The researcher can provide a comprehensive overview of university strategic alliance, and serve as a reference for those institutions and Taiwan’s relevant policy.
