Description

In Taiwan, the teaching of social science is usually carried out in the way of classroom teaching. Students can only imagine the real geographical and historical environment with the information in the books. According to the research, this teaching method found that it may cause students to use reciting methods to impose memory knowledge, and it is impossible to reflect on the meaning behind these contents more deeply. Over time, students will lack the motivation to learn, apply this knowledge in their lives alone . The significance of inquiry-based learning is to enable students to absorb knowledge anytime and anywhere, so that the classroom is not only confined to the classroom space, but to allow students to spontaneously generate curiosity and timely feedback through the augmented reality. Such a teaching situation will be realized. Critical thinking refers to the process in which an individual takes the self as the main body and organizes and digests the surrounding knowledge. The inquiry learning is to continually reflect on a specific topic, sort out a set of information systems, and infer the meaning of these materials. Since satisfying curiosity, both methods emphasize the active exploration of students, and the role of the teacher has also become a companion guide from the past. According to the results of this study, the research model of inquiry learning enhances students' learning motivation and effectively. At the same time, it stimulates students' desire to explore and seek knowledge. They actively think and digest knowledge, which in turn promotes critical thinking in the invisible. Only when students are the main body to absorb and explore knowledge. They have the opportunity to think about their relationship with the land, and the knowledge. It will be more meaningful under this situations . In this study, the use of questionnaires to explore the critical thinking of the subject may be limited because it is impossible to accurately determine the student's thinking circuit, nor can it be known that the student's critical thinking ability is due to its own ability or because different learning methods are used, it is recommended that future researchers be able to perform pre- and post-tests to rule out differences in students' personal abilities. In addition, in terms of sample extraction, this time is mostly based on graduate students. The ability of critical thinking can be different from those of other academics. It is recommended that future researchers can test different academic qualifications and increase the identification. In recent years, many educators have promoted flip education, aiming to reverse the former cramming education, so that students become the main body of learning, and educators only assist from the side. This kind of educational concept coincides with the inquiry-based learning method. It is hoped that it will arouse the students' motivation to learn, and let students learn the knowledge they really want to learn, instead of being forced to understand the standard answers under the education. Whether it is geography or history, the knowledge of social sciences is all around us.
