全球氣候災難移民之處遇與調適：以台灣莫拉克風災為例

Global climate changes resulted from rapid industry development and environmental deterioration have become critical issues in the international society with the. Such changes cause nature disasters, shoreline erosion, and coastal flooding and have displaced millions of people. These people are forced to leave their homeland and establish a new life style in a different environment, which often requires a process of learning and adaptation. This growing concern of the international community about the consequences of migration resulting from environmental deterioration and climate change has raised increasing discussion in the academic arena. Based on the case of Morakot Typhoon in Taiwan, this study discusses the consequences of migration on the affected population and analyzes their intervention and adaptation. With the ethnographic approach, this study uses three methods to collect data, including participatory observation, in-depth interview, and document analysis. This study explored the intervention for displaced people and their adaptation process, which will serve as the foundation for future policy making and assistance program development.
