Description
A Broad Conceptualization of User Experience in the Metaverse Community: An Empirical Investigation and Implications for Information and Management
Abstract
With the rise of metaverse technologies, understanding user experience (UX) is crucial. Our study integrates customer experience with five theoretical perspectives: self-avatar identification, self-community identification, value creation, self-expansion, and optical flow. We introduce a metaverse UX framework consisting of emotional, social, cognitive, transformational, and immersive components, each informed by the aforementioned theories and detailed into nine sub-components. Utilizing text mining and machine learning approaches, we examine these sub-components against four user creation metrics. With the support of regression analysis, our model effectively predicts the subcomponents' impact on performance, offering essential insights for the evolving metaverse field.
