Description

In this project, a landslide monitoring system based on low cost single frequency GNSS RTK systems will be developed and verified. This GNSS RTK system consists of five major parts: a low cost single frequency GNSS receiver, a wireless communication module, a GNSS RTK solver, an Android App and a website-based monitoring program. The availability and precision have been proved by a lot of experiments. We plan to install several GNSS RTK system on potential large-scale landslide located at yingshi villages, Datong Township, Yilan County and zhanghu villages, Gukeng Township, Yunlin County. There are two main contributions of this study. Firstly, the displacement of landslide can be detected real time and precisely by the proposed GNSS RTK system. Therefore, the probable disasters caused by heavy-rains or typhoons can be prevented. Secondly, the long term, high precision and high sampling rate data may be useful for studying the relationship between landslide and earthquake/heavy-rains.
