Project Details
Description
This research plan is aimed to conduct synthesis and optical research of two-dimensional nano-sized materials. There are two stagesto develop nano semiconductor materials with novel light-emitting properties. The first stage is to synthesize a two-dimensional single-layer structure of cadmium selenide nanosheets with analyzes of morphology, crystal structure, and optical properties in depth. In the second stage, the optical heterogeneous properties of this two-dimensional material were further explored by the optical characteristics explored only found in this special structure. Our team intends to grow this organic-inorganic two-dimensional semiconductors by self-assembly methods, and to study the basic science and application prospects of its quantized "periodic segregation" with controlled growth direction. In this study, a small amount of Mn substitution has changed the band structure of the two-dimensional semiconductor as well as its the luminescent properties. We want to combine the quantized heterostructure and ultra-high-fine structure which break through the current optical semiconductor synthesis, as well as to expand the physical properties of light-emitting materials for possible future sustainable applications.
